Since 1994, I suffered from diabetes. Later, I developed kidney failure, high cholesterol and poor circulation in the legs. I was taking insulin and Lipitor but it wasn’t helping and it made my body feel funny. The drug medications were making me feel worse and I was nervous. Eventually I began to develop cirrhosis of the liver, which caused ascites - an accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity. I had to stop all my drug medications for the cholesterol and diabetes due to liver damage. I felt sad and nervous about my condition. I was very fatigued and just tired all the time, and I had trouble breathing. My eyesight was blurry which limited my driving. I couldn’t exercise or walk very far and I couldn’t go on trips. I had to retire because I was not able to do anything due to poor health. I was sleeping a lot and I had no energy. I had a bad quality of life.
