In 2005 I came to the Natural Medicine Center because I wasn’t satisfied with the antibiotic treatment and the negative diagnoses I was given for the Roseacea symptoms I was experiencing.  I knew there were other options to drug medicine and as I searched the internet for natural medicine I came across the Natural Medicine Center in Costa Mesa. 

When I first came to NMC I was fearful and somewhat emotionally depressed because of recent outbreaks of acne that had been aggravated by my life situation at the time and years of poor diet and antibiotic use.  The drug medicine that was used to control my acne over the years had actually caused damage to my organ systems. 

I had been using antibiotics for over 25 years for the treatment of inflammation of my skin and acne.  It wasn’t that difficult to get a prescription from the different dermatologists I was seeing over the years.  I believe that the doctors felt that antibiotics were the drug treatment for the control of acne, but the long term effects were causing more damage than good.

While in massage school I had the opportunity to learn about different natural and alternative medicine treatments and I heard good things from some of my classmates about acupuncture.  I read information about Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and about the organ and energy systems along with the wholistic view of our bodies. 

Dr. Kevin Huang’s confidence in herbal medicine, Acupuncture and God’s ability to accomplish the impossible impressed me, I trusted in his ability and God for the restoration of health to my body.  Under Dr. Kevin Huang’s guidance I gradually stopped taking the antibiotics while being treated with acupuncture and herbal medicine. This was the most difficult thing for me to do, because I had used and mentally depended on antibiotics for a long time.  I needed to change my way of thinking.

In August of 2005 I began the treatment of acupuncture and herbal medicine along with changes in my diet.  I have been as faithful and patient with the treatment plan as possible.  I have seen and felt an increase in the strength of my immune system over the months.  My emotions are under my control, my male system has improved and my skin is less inflamed with fewer blemishes, all without the use of drug medicine.

Dr. Kevin Huang and all the staff are very accepting and caring people. I feel comfortable receiving my acupuncture treatment here and believe they use high quality raw herbs and supplements.
