normal.
I can do more things and function like a normal person.”
I suffered from numbness of the left shoulder since March 2003. It was due to a car accident. It affected my sleep, and because I am left-handed, it affected daily things I would do. It was hard to play tennis and drive sometimes. I had physical therapy and was given pain medications by the doctor. I felt that such treatments were not solving the problem but just covering it up. I also did not want surgery.
I came to Natural Medicine Center on April 27, 2004 – a year after the accident. I had acupuncture treatments before for allergies, so I wanted to see if they could help me with my shoulder. I hoped that the treatments would work so that I would not have to live with pain medications.
I received acupuncture treatments and herbs. I liked the fact that the treatments are personalized, not like doctors that give the same medication to every patient. The treatments helped me, and I started to feel better after the third week. The numbness was less, and I was able to use my arm. After 3 months the numbness is 95% better. My life is back to normal. I can do more things and function like a normal person. I also noticed that my sleep is better.
I am very positive about the results and I think they went beyond my expectations. My family and friends were surprised at how fast I recovered. I would refer anybody with medical problems.
